Install the app
Degen Rehab runs on your desktop, next to your trading platform. Installing takes about two minutes. The only unusual step is a one-time security warning, explained below.
Download
Go to the download page and pick your computer:
- Mac with Apple Silicon (M1, M2, M3, M4 and newer). Not sure? Click the Apple menu → About This Mac. If the chip line says "Apple M…", this is you.
- Mac with an Intel chip. Older Macs, roughly 2020 and earlier.
- Windows 10 or 11.
The buttons always give you the newest version.
Install on Mac
- Open the downloaded
.dmgfile and drag Degen Rehab into your Applications folder. - Open the app from Applications. macOS will block the first launch with a message that the app "cannot be opened". This is expected. Close the message.
- Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down, and click Open Anyway next to the Degen Rehab message. Confirm with your Mac password.
- Open the app again. From now on it opens normally.
Why the warning? Apple shows it for any app that is not yet in its notarization program. "Open Anyway" simply tells your Mac you trust where the app came from.
Install on Windows
- Run the downloaded installer.
- If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC", click More info, then Run anyway. Same reason as the Mac warning: the app is not code-signed yet.
- Click through the installer. The default location is fine.
- Launch Degen Rehab from the Start menu or the desktop shortcut.
First launch
The app asks for your computer's admin password once. It uses this to set up two protections that run in the background: the web-trading block and a small watchdog that keeps your lockouts honest if the app is closed. You will not be asked again unless the app updates those pieces.
You will also see a small round Degen Rehab badge floating on your screen. That is the trade-status badge. It is explained in Dashboard & the badge.
Updates. On Windows the app updates itself in the background. On Mac it tells you when a new version is out and sends you to the download page.
